University of Greenwich – make your time count
Monday, September 6th, 2010We’ve recently finished the first phase of filming of the University of Greenwich’s latest promotional videos and the results can now be seen online:
So far we’ve produced a series of 16 films including an overview of the university, spotlights on each of the 3 campuses and individual films for each of the subjects within the Business School. The concept is based around a book, denoting learning and tradition, that opens and comes alive using pop-ups created through a mixture of digital animation and live footage shot at the university’s own ‘green screen’ facility. These animated elements are combined with existing footage and an original musical score to produce a series of engaging and innovate film clips, perfect for their target audience of prospective students and investors from domestic and international fields.
As part of the same campaign we’ve also produced a Virtual Open Day built in Flash that integrates with the university’s own media player and are now working on a series of viral games to help further their promotional work. We’re also about to start on phase 2 of the filming with another 17 films using the same concept due to be completed early in the new year.
Feedback so far has been brilliant including comments made by Gavin Goodwin, the University of Greenwich’s Marketing Communications Officer and Project Leader:
“The films are fantastic! They were delivered on time and on budget and it’s been a pleasurable experience working with the Michon team. The concept they created is really strong and gives us masses of scope for future projects”.
We’re really happy with how the videos have turned out and can’t wait to get stuck into the next phases of the project.
