Michon/E.ON party – the evidence!

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

Well we certainly had a good old fashioned knees up at our belated Christmas party on Friday! It was a great night at the Hand and Heart pub with its unusual setting inside Nottingham’s caves.

The night just flew by and we’re sure most people would have been a little worse for wear on Saturday… A good time was had by all – see for yourself below!

Our designs hit the road!

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

You couldn’t miss the trailer we recently designed for E.ON. They’ve been out and about in it giving the general public advice on how to lower energy bills this winter. We created an interactive outdoor game to attract passers-by and have also produced an online version of it. You can have a go yourself here.

Senior Campaign Officer in E.ON’s Customer PR Team, says: “We gave Michon a difficult brief and they embraced the challenge and worked closely with us to create an engaging and inviting way to communicate this advice. We’re delighted with the end result.”

Our E.ON exhibition stand is out and about again

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

The E.ON Climate and Renewables stand made it’s annual appearance at the BWEA31 exhibition in Liverpool this week. The stand’s modular, open-plan design demonstrated its ability to be flexible – moving from large to smaller exhibitions, whist still giving E.ON maximum exposure.

The stand is used to publicly demonstrate E.ON’s expertise and large-scale investment in renewable technology, educating visitors about onshore and offshore wind farms, marine and biomass technologies. The stand also uses touch-screen technology to encourage visitor interaction and engage attendees in learning about E.ON’s portfolio of renewable technologies.

Our work on the E.ON visitor centre is on The Drum

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

We’ve now worked on six visitor centres for E.ON and our latest work on their Lockerbie centre has just been featured on the Drum. The new centre is based at one of the UK’s largest dedicated biomass power stations and will be used as an educational resource for school children. We designed bespoke features for the centre including a sustainable house, a human turbine to illustrate the physical energy needed to power household items and other displays such as touchscreens featuring interactive quizzes. Our ‘Saint or Sinner?’ campaign for E.ON is up for an award!

Friday, October 31st, 2008

Last year we developed an internal campaign for E.ON to encourage staff to live a greener lifestyle and  reduce energy usage and waste throughout their UK offices. We didn’t want it to feel too corporate so we took a more humorous approach and the campaign was designed to play on people’s conscience. It included an online quiz which rated people as an environmental Saint or a Sinner and supporting printed collateral around E.ON offices. The ‘Saint or Sinner?’ campaign has been a huge success and was entered into the Green Awards 2008 by E.ON. We are now pleased to say that it’s just been shortlisted to the top three!

There were 25 entries in total for the category ‘Best Green Internal Communications’  and E.ON is in the running against Nokia and Centrica. You can see more on the Green Awards website at: Green Awards. The awards ceremony will be held on 12th November in London – fingers crossed!

We’re currently working on a Christmas campaign for E.ON centred around the same ‘Saint or Sinner?’ concept so watch this space…

Michon design E.ON stand for British Wind exhibition

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

This week sees the first outing for E.ON Climate and Renewables’ stand at 2008’s British Wind Energy Association (BWEA) exhibition at ExCell in London’s Docklands. We beat three other agencies to design and build a stand to showcase E.ON’s impressive work for renewables.

We were asked to create an open-plan, contemporary stand that would wow visitors at the 30th BWEA exhibition. The stand will serve as a platform to publicly demonstrate E.ON’s expertise and large-scale investment in renewable technology, educating visitors about onshore and offshore wind farms, marine and biomass technologies.

We’ve incorporated E.ON’s requirement for a modular construction into its design, allowing E.ON to use sections of the stand at smaller events. The stand also uses touch-screen technology to encourage visitor interaction and engage attendees in learning about E.ON’s portfolio of renewable technologies.
